Tuscany brims with abundance in Autumn. There’s the grape harvest in the early part of the season and the new olive oil pressed in the later part of the season. In the middle are the festivals dedicated to delicacies of the woods—truffles, chestnuts and mushrooms.
If you’re visiting in the fall, there are a plethora of food festivals, often referred to as sagre—from the Latin, sacrum, meaning holy. Following are my four favorite autumn sagre in Tuscany. Keep them in mind for your next visit!
