I’m loving the particular way Substack creates community and connection. It feels more genuine than the platforms that made some users feel pressure to present a “perfect” image/life.

What I want to share with you:

• Over-tourism in Italy concerns me and I’ll be posting about ways to get off the beaten path within the touristed cities, and highlighting lesser-known places.

• Renaissance art and history (my expertise is 15th century Florence)

• Moving to Italy: I share what to expect and I don’t shy away from some of the nitty gritty realities.

• I love sussing out and sharing best places to eat and drink in Italy.

• I’m thinking about creating an interactive course on Florence’s history and art using Substack’s video feature and utilizing the chat feature where we can spend art-focused time together. Does this appeal?
